Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of decking do you offer?

We offer a wide range of decking materials including natural hardwood, softwood, and high-quality composite decking. Each option is available in different finishes, colours, and styles — ensuring your design perfectly complements your garden and home.

With proper installation and maintenance, timber decking can last 15–20 years, while composite decking often exceeds 25 years with minimal upkeep. We only use durable, weather-resistant materials suited to the UK’s changing seasons.

Timber decking provides a traditional, natural look but requires occasional treatment to prevent fading or rot. Composite decking offers a low-maintenance, slip-resistant alternative that maintains its colour and appearance for years without staining or sealing.

In most cases, planning permission isn’t required for decking that is less than 30cm (12 inches) above ground level and covers less than 50% of your garden. However, we’ll always check local regulations and advise you if permission is needed.
